Global Christian School has positions in grades pre-Kindergarten-12. We are hiring teachers for the 2005-2006 school year. This is a relatively new school, but we plan to obtain accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) as soon as possible. Contracts are for eleven (11) months over two years. First day of work is as established in the contract. Salary is paid monthly.

Global Christian School considers all of its teachers and staff to be Missionaries, ministering to the students and families that attend GCS. You will be expected to become an active member of a local church. The school provides a one way ticket to Korea and a return ticket at the end of your contract period. We also provide housing for you but that usually means sharing an apartment with one or two others. Seoul is a very expensive city for housing but the cost of food is reasonable. You will pay all your utilities - approximately $100 each month (in the Winter it is more due to heating fuel) minus phone. Your phone bill is also your own. We have Internet access at the school so most teachers use the email system. We provide Korean health insurance which is only applicable in Korea. We have modern hospitals and excellent Western type medical, dental, and chiropractic care. Korea is the land of shopping deals. Most of the schools teachers travel to other countries during vacation times. Many teachers obtain a round trip ticket for the first Summer (tickets are cheaper when purchased in Korea).
